DVD Slideshow

John's Darkroom can
transform your photos and slides to a moving slideshow that you can
play on your computer or TV. Along with the visual memories, your
favorite songs can be played in the background as well as titles for
the photos and various chapters.
A perfect gift for someone to cherish and a gift that will be
remembered.
All work will be done on DVD-R disk unless otherwise
requested. The disk will be placed in a 14mm clear DVD case, similar to
movie cases and not a slimline jewel case, with a cover insert with the
title chosen by you.
The video DVD will be playable on your DVD player or PC
computer. To

Slideshow features
- Slideshow can be as long as you want.
- DVD cover
with your title and photos
- Add text to photos
- Group your photos together and name your chapters.
Chapters are a group of images that are a theme; for example all images
for Jasper holiday are in the chapter titled "Jasper Holiday". Chapters
can be a long as you want.
- For images in chapters, you can place captions on the
photo to identify it.
- Each chapter can contain as many photos as you wish
- You supply the background music that will set the
mood for the photos
- Play each chapter as you choose or loop the show for
continuous playing
- Each image of the slideshow will be on screen for 6
to 8 seconds with a 1 to 2 second fade between images. There fore
co-ordinate your images with the length of the songs for each
chapter. For example if your song is 3 minutes and 27 seconds
long, you would require 21 images each 8 seconds long with a 2 second
fade between each image.
Slideshow
can contain
- Photos up to 8"x10" in size and colour or black and
white
- Horizontal or landscape photos are the best for the
slide show
- 35mm Slides
- Digital photos that are on DVD disk
- Drawings, newspaper clippings, certificates,
documents etc

How to order
- If you are bringing photos or slides for scanning,
gather all your photos, slides, documents and your music. There is a
charge of $0.75 per item. Please see scanning
for details.
- Arrange the material in groups, chapters, that you
want them shown in; for example "Vacation to Jasper", "The New Baby",
etc.
Along with the chapters select the music that you have that most suits
the theme of the chapters. Then mark on the back of you photos or
documents the order
you want them viewed in the slide show. Write a number on a
post-it-note
and attach it to the back of the photo or write the number lightly with
a
pencil, starting at 001, 002 etc.
- Indicate on a separate sheet, the number
of the photo and the short caption you would like on the photo (photo
#005 - Jasper Park Lodge) and the music tracks you want. Then put
everything for the chapter in an envelope and note on the envelope the
name of the chapter, for example "Vacation to Jasper". Continue for the
next chapters.
- If you are including images on a DVD, please make
sure the photos are scanned at a resolution of 300 DPI and saved as jpg
files with file names as 001.jpg, 002.jpg etc. in the order you want
them shown. Check each scanned image for colour and any damage as the
images will be placed on the slide show as per the disk. Place each set
of images in file folders
named with your chapters, for example "Vacation to Jasper", "Wedding"
etc.
- Indicate on a separate sheet, the number
of the photo and the short caption you would like on the photo (photo
#005 - Jasper Park Lodge) and the music tracks you want. Then put
everything for the chapter in an envelope and note on the envelope the
name of the chapter, for example "Vacation to Jasper". Continue for the
next chapters.
- Fill out the Slideshow

Slideshow Pricing
DVD slideshow with fade transitions $20.00 plus $0.10 per image if on
a DVD
in jpg form scanned at 300 DPI.
If submitting slides or photos, scanning
charges of $0.75 plus $0.10 (total $0.85) each will be
charged.
Included are :
- one DVD with slideshow and photo on front and back
of case
- Title of slide show on the DVD case
- two songs supplied by client
- opening title page (the title of the DVD on a curtain
that will open to the first image)
- one chapter name
- 5 captions on the images
Extra are:
- additional songs supplied by client $1.00 each
- additional chapters $1.00 each
- additional captions on the images $0.30 each
- additional slide show DVD's $5.00 each
